For leasing companies & asset owners

A practical buyer for
end-of-lease IT.

Turn a returned fleet into an outright sale. We work with leasing companies to purchase retired business hardware and take the whole agreed batch through the process.

Keep your next lease cycle moving.

A returned batch creates more than a valuation task. There are serial numbers to reconcile, condition differences to check, equipment to move and management locks to resolve. WEI works with you through those steps so the old fleet does not become another burden.

Our preference is an outright purchase. It gives the asset owner a defined buyer and an invoice-based route to sale, rather than waiting for each unit to sell individually.

Whole batches, including the imperfect units.

Business laptops, desktops, monitors and server equipment are considered. Around three-year-old end-of-lease stock is an ideal fit, and older assets are assessed too.

We agree the scope with you and can include damaged or faulty units in the batch. Condition is reflected in value. Reusable parts and our domestic and international resale channels help us work with a wider mix of stock.

Agree the basis before the equipment moves.

  1. Send the asset schedule with specifications, quantities and stated condition.
  2. We agree a value based on the schedule and described A-grade condition.
  3. Arrange freight or an Auckland collection, with freight costs paid by the customer.
  4. We check the stock and provide a serialised specification and condition report.
  5. Discuss any anomalies, then invoice Wei Group Ltd for the agreed amount.

For normal quantities our report target is 10 business days. We discuss larger-volume schedules in advance. Payment is normally on the 20th of the month following the invoice, unless otherwise agreed.

Reporting, wiping and management release.

Standard in-house data wiping is included in intake. Serialised wiping certificates are issued on request for a fee. If a client needs a different wiping arrangement or additional reporting, discuss it with us before handover.

BIOS passwords need to be supplied securely. Apple devices and Chromebooks need release from their management accounts; our serialised report can support that task.

A resale channel behind the offer.

WEI and NZ Laptop Wholesale are the same business. Our established retail operation gives saleable equipment a route to its next user, helping us make informed purchasing decisions.

This service is for asset owners selling retired stock. If your business is still leasing the equipment, check your authority to sell with the owner before arranging a purchase.
