Business IT asset
decommissioning in NZ.

We work with you through valuation, logistics, data wiping and reporting, so you can focus on deploying the new stock.

1. Tell us what is retiring.

A spreadsheet of assets and specifications is ideal. Include quantities, models, serial numbers where available, and condition. If you do not have a complete list, begin with a conversation and a rough description of the batch.

Let us know the equipment location, your required timeframe and any special wiping or reporting requirements.

2. Agree the value and logistics.

Using the supplied specifications, we can agree a value based on the assets as described and their noted A-grade condition. Known damage and faults should be included from the start.

We can arrange Auckland collections where required and work with nationwide partners. Freight is paid by the customer. We discuss arrangements and larger-batch reporting times before receipt.

3. Receive, wipe, check and report.

Standard in-house data wiping is part of our intake process. We check the received assets and produce a serialised report covering specifications and condition. For usual quantities, we aim to provide that report within 10 business days.

Serialised wiping certificates are only issued on request and incur a fee. Discuss any other data requirements before handover.

Supply BIOS passwords securely. Apple and Chromebook devices must be released from their management accounts. We can provide serial numbers through the report so your team can action the release.

4. Resolve differences, then invoice us.

If the report shows anomalies against the asset list, we discuss them with you. An adjusted price may reflect damaged units or specification differences. We ask you to invoice Wei Group Ltd for the agreed amount once the report is accepted.

The assets remain yours until you invoice us. If you are not happy with the report, you can arrange to take the assets back. You may collect them; any return freight is paid by you.

5. Payment and the next life of the stock.

Our standard payment date is the 20th of the month following your invoice, unless otherwise agreed. This is an outright purchase, so your payment does not depend on waiting for individual retail sales.

Saleable equipment then has a route to its next user through NZ Laptop Wholesale and our other resale channels. Suitable parts may be used to repair other equipment.

Real equipment.
A practical handover.

Your team has replacement equipment to deploy. We work with you to assess and purchase the retired business IT batch, coordinate logistics and provide serialised reporting.

These photographs show an actual job. Every batch is different: we agree the equipment scope, freight arrangements and reporting timeframe with you.
