When we receive business equipment with storage, standard in-house data wiping is part of the work before reuse. Our purchasing process also checks specifications and condition and provides a serialised asset report.
Your asset report and a wiping certificate serve different purposes. If you need certificate documentation for your organisation, ask for it in advance so we can agree the scope and cost.
Discuss any specific standard or method.
If you require a particular wiping method, reporting format or a different data handling arrangement, raise that at the assessment stage. We are happy to discuss how your requirements can be accommodated and confirm what is agreed.
Do not assume that a named certification or standard is included by default. Confirm the requirement with our team before releasing the assets.
Device access matters.
- BIOS passwords: these must be provided through an agreed secure channel.
- Apple devices: release them from the organisation’s management account.
- Chromebooks: release them from the management account before resale.
- Other device locks or management controls: tell us what is in place so we can discuss the handover.
For Apple and Chromebook releases, our serialised report can give your IT team the information needed to action the release.
Before the equipment leaves your organisation.
Make sure any data your business needs has been retained by your own team. Tell us about unusual storage configurations, inaccessible drives or special handling needs. Keep confidential files and passwords out of the website enquiry form.
